Inspired by “Shot in the Dark” murder mystery 1920’s Flapper-theme party. The original painting was donated as a prize for the local event. (Proceeds were donated to Gilda’s Club, Simcoe Muskoka).
Portrayed here is the victim, Fanny Birchwood, in the alley of the “Half Moon Speakeasy”, moments before her untimely demise!!! Fanny completely emerged before my eyes on the canvas… All I did was dip the brush in the paint, and she channelled herself forward onto the canvas… How spooky!
