“Suter Farm-Franklin Center, Quebec” (Circa 1950’s)

This is a painting of (my Father-in-law) Gerry’s childhood log cabin where his family spent their summers in the country. Gerry gave be some old black and white photographs of the cabin asked me to paint a whimsical version of it for him. The previous painting I posted is of (my Mather-in-law) Shirley’s family’s farm. Incidentally, Gerry’s property was located right beside Shirley’s farm. They met here as children, and years later they dated and then got married…This was truly a challenge, and an honour, to capture a sentimental scene from the past, that doesn’t exist like this today 🙂
